Pérola, the sky-high sister bar to celebrated Iberian restaurant JOIA, located on the 15th floor of art’otel Battersea Power Station, is proud to announce a new live music partnership with legendary Soho jazz institution Ronnie Scott’s. The series welcomes resident Ronnie Scott’s artists, bringing their electrifying mix of Cuban son, salsa, mambo and Latin jazz to the heart of Battersea. Expect vibrant Afro-Latin sound channels the golden era of Cuban son and salsa, combining bold brass, percussion and rhythms that transform any performance into a celebration. 

The evening begins at 7pm until 10pm.  As a special welcome, each guest will also receive a welcome drink from Woodford Reserve to kickstart the evening.

10th September: 

Carlos y Su Dimensión is a Cuban salsa band led by Carlos Miguel, performing an energetic mix of salsa, timba and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Featuring some of Cuba’s leading musicians, the group delivers a vibrant celebration of Cuban music and culture.

15th October: 

Buena Vista Social Club Live Revue celebrates the timeless music of pre-revolutionary Cuba, featuring top Cuban musicians based in the UK. Showcasing classic genres including son, bolero, danzón and cha-cha-cha, the performance brings the spirit and vibrancy of Cuba's golden musical era to life through authentic rhythms, captivating vocals and world-class musicianship.

19th November:

Sarabanda blends original numbers and arrangements of Cuban songs, both classic and modern, Sarabanda will be bringing wonderful music from vocal duo Yuri Moreno and Alfonso Mono De Jesus, alongside Cuban trombonist Landy Diaz, keyboardist Sara McGuinness and bassist Jimmy Martinez.

    I recently attended an event at a venue I had been eager to visit for some time, given its iconic reputation, and it truly lived up to expectations. The experience was memorable from start to finish. 1. The artistic entrance and overall hotel‑style ambiance created a striking first impression. 2. The stewards at the entrance and by the lifts were warm, welcoming, and attentive. 3. The atmosphere throughout the venue was inviting, and the rooftop offered stunning views of London’s skyline and its most recognisable landmarks. The pool and panoramic scenery were genuinely breathtaking. 4. I appreciated the token system for food and drinks, which suited the style and flow of the event very well. 5. The music and the musician performing that evening added a fantastic energy to the night. 6. The overall vibe was excellent, supported by friendly and professional staff. 7. I also noticed and valued that the cooking staff were using gloves, which reflected good hygiene practices. The only area for improvement would be ensuring consistent glove use when serving food, particularly when spreading condiments. While I enjoyed the food, small details like this can make a difference for guests with sensitive digestion or specific dietary considerations. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to attending future events.
