Portugal’s two Michelin-starred chef Henrique Sá Pessoa will be hosting his second Behind The Pass collaboration dinner on Wednesday 9th October, welcoming highly acclaimed British chef Tom Booton from The Grill by Tom Booton at The Dorchester at JOIA restaurant, on the 15th floor.

Following its success at his Amsterdam restaurant ARCA, Henrique brought the Behind The Pass series to London, welcoming top chefs into the JOIA kitchen. For this special collaboration, Henrique and Tom will transform their signature dishes with the flavours, techniques and ingredients of the other chef.

The exclusive six-course dinner is £120pp and will feature three courses designed to share from each chef, starting with Henrique’s Portuguese interpretation of popular fish styles in the United Kingdom. Dishes include tuna tartare with red cabbage and seaweed, turbot with ‘pica pau’ fish veloute and monkfish rice with tomato, chill and coriander.

Tom’s dishes will follow, transforming his British classics with Portuguese inspiration, including squid bolognese with grated chourico, ‘All the Chicken’ with Iberian flavours, and fig leaf trifle inspired by Madeira. Add wine pairings for an additional £45pp

Amazing view, lovely music and fab atmosphere. Live saxophone and DJ did not disappoint, nor did the array of cocktails available. However gave up queuing for the bar after `10 mins, they only had a couple of people manning the bar which was surprising given all of the people there. Out of Joia's control but there were also several people that decided to stand on the seating, which in turn blocked the view of the fireworks for everyone behind them. We were at the front so it didn't impact us but it was rude and inconsiderate of them.

way overpriced for what you get! The Bar was very unorganised, extremely long queue to get a drink which got people frustrated! Music was low and didn't set the right environment. overall for 54£ event I would have expected something else
